KARACHI, March 15: Pakistan International Airline has decided to change its livery partially, specifically its tail. According to a press release, all PIA aircraft will be done in the livery on the tail over approximately a two-year period.
Current scheme smells. PIA was a brand linked to the paint job on it's planes. Very distinctive before the new schemes came in. It lost an assett. I believe the designs on bottom of that page are the best. Capture the old design with a slight modern twist.
I wonder who these people in PIA are.....Seems that they never consulted anyone before painting it the way it is now. The flag on the tail looks horrible. Before it said the word PAKISTAN and now its only PIA, who knows what PIA is ..Pakisatn seemed much better. No aesthetic sense. More like an order from the general sahab that have become quite common in every department of the government.
I am sure they will make a blunder again. The right way would be to advertise it in the country and hold a competition and then a panel could select the best one... Lets trust the talent of our nation.
Here in Islamabad, there are countless times where I have seen that a traffic signal is put in a place and then removed and then placed 10 inches further and then something new.....this is one example...
Only recently we have had the new traffic police...Its quite professional but the CDA (Capital Development Authority)isn't..so one often sees that it is ensured that cars stop before the zebra crossing on an intersection...and guess where the zebra crossings lead,,, to the jungle...no footpath after the zebra crossing ends.
such things are a norm in Pakistan... Shows how much "eating" is going on..
