i wont be flying domestic.'neither will i have valuables. but ts getn me thinking. im worried sick about flying wjth 2 kids under 3 yrs old on a non direct flight. the stopover is only 2 hours but still

Its not so difficult nadzz… Ive travelled with 2 kids under 3 and one was sick… On a 20 hour flight with stopovers. .
U gotta do what u gotta do? which is the lesser of 2 evils for u… PIA or the kids. Whichever u can handle better… Go with that.

so what to do? should i go with pia or not? i dnt mind if service is crap i just want to get to uk safely without worrying about plane running out of fuel or a god frbid fatal accidents etc pia scares me but want to know if my worries r justified or not

I honestly don’t think you need to be worried about PIA going bankrupt, etc.
However in terms of comfort I agree with proto. I’d rather fly with a “better” airlines like Emirates or Qatar and have a short stop-over. Even with kids. My wife does that every year because we don’t even have a direct flight to Pakistan from here. But it works out ok. On Emirates they give you like “kids packages” with toys, colouring books, etc. to keep them busy. Really nice.

Comfort and safety both have taken a backseat with PIA lately. Someone in my family works in PIA, and recently told me of a scary story of how PIA has been using substandard grease in the engine seals, as opposed to the one specified by Boeing, in the new 777s. On a recent trip to Manchester, upon landing, the desi grease burnt up, and shot a whiff of smoke. The aircraft was forced to stop at the runway by the airport authorities, and was evacuated, thinking there was a fire in the engine. Turned out, it was after-market grease. Boeing is apparently suing PIA for tampering with its engines.
Moral of the story…avoid PIA, and take the stopover instead with another airline. Its not that big a deal.
I agree with Umer. Bettter to.fly with comfort rather.than worry on PIA. Bachay hain yaar…not terrorists. Quit getting.scared.by em. The most they can do is cry. Big deal.
