Pakistan International Airline, the Flag carrier of Pakistan, is set to boost its flying program to European & Gulf destinations with the addition of following new destinations & additional frequencies.

PIA Europe Operation Barcelona Direct Flights to Barcelona from Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad will start from March 29th 2009. This European destination will be served with twice weekly flights by two-class A310 to carry 185 passengers.

**From Karachi passengers may connect Katmandu, Dhaka, Mumbai and Delhi with Spain. Leads PIA had increased frequencies and capacity to Leads by 33%. **

Now PIA is serving Leads with thrice weekly operation with two class A310. Frankfurt Direct flights to Frankfurt from Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad will start from 24 th April 2009. Frankfurt will be served with twice weekly operation with two class A310 Aircraft. For passenger convenience connection to Katmandu, Dhaka, Mumbai and Delhi are provided from Karachi.

PIA Gulf Operation Dubai

**PIA Dubai operation is enhanced with the addition of twice weekly direct flights between Dera Ghazi Khan & Dubai. **

With the induction of DEA-DXB service PIA is now flying 46 Times a week to Dubai. PIA has also increased its capacity between, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Dubai by 60% with the induction of B-777 Fleet replacing A31L.

Abu Dhabi PIA has started Rahim Yar Khan & Abu Dhabi service effective from 29 th March 2009.

Kuwait PIA has increased capacity of Kuwait by introducing two flight one each from Karachi and Sialkot.

I like the way PIA cannot even spell the name of one its destinations properly:smack: Leads should read as Leeds.

However, the this is good news for Guppies such as myself, as it makes it easier to get to the airport:hula:

PIA needs to capture west coast too (i.e. California). There is a good enough Pakistani population there, and they have to resort to either hop coast to coast n fly from JFK or take Asian carriers like Cathay/Singapore/Malaysian/Thai, and now Emirates.

PIA already gave up on ORD/Chicago, I'm not sure if Houston is still active.

with a very limited number of good long haul air crafts ( 6-7 only operational B777). keeping US routes is really difficult. already one or two of the B777 underwent major problems in the recent past.

all the other successful air lines with US routes have a large number of B777 or A340s. PIA needs to bring in new aircrafts asap. There are many routes in US which needs attention cause of large Pakistani community
