PIA Re-evaluated

I’d heard many rumors about the airline (PIA) before i left and some positive responses as well but honestly and from my personal experience of flying PIA from Chicago-Manchester-Lahore and back the same route. I can without any hesitation or doubt say that PIA offers competitive service, that is compared to Kuwait, its eastern route rival for a long time now. The passengers that at one time chose Kuwait airways for Pakistan are now on PIA mainly due to the new 777. The service overall was fair. Yes i did notice that the stewardesses seem to smile less on the return trip back to chicago but that’s a personal thing. I couldn’t say simply cuz one doesn’t smile, that person isn’t being nice or courteous. If and insha-allah i will visit pak again, i will opt. PIA as one of the possible travel-with choices. The route however is long and boring but don’t think there’s much that can be done about it. The first leg of flight from Chicago to Manchester is approximately 7hrs30Mins and after an hour to two hour stay at Manchester, the next leg from Manchester to Lahore is 8hrs approximately. I was impressed at the take off, and landing timings of the airline. On my arrival in Lahore, we arrived there 20 minutes early and on my return to Chicago the flight that was due to land at 3:20pm was already landed and parked at the terminal at 2:30, i think that’s an awesome thing for passengers that like to save time and prefer to arrive early. The food was plenty and drinks were served periodically during the flight. The check-in at both ends of the journey were quick and well organized. And there you have my 2 cents on PIA because we had a discussion going here at GS sometime in August about how the airline is so thought i’d share my thoughts on it with you all.

Re: PIA Re-evaluated

same here
I travelled karachi toronto on PIA and it was at least as good (or better) than any other airline I have ever travelled on. Service was excellent , curteous staff who didnt raise an eyebrow even after I kept bugging them every half an hour or so, cause I was travelling with small kids.

I am definitely flying PIA again.

:)

Re: PIA Re-evaluated

Ah we Montrealers are unlucky that PIA doesnt operate from Montreal and oh my GOD the only reason i didnt fly PiA ever is that ir was always very much expensive(minimum400dollars more than even emirates) yes i do believe as have previously travelled by PIA and many other airlines, PIA is not bad a nd if they can compete the fairs with other rival carriers they can increase their business significantly. I have even noticed that the servic e of emirates was even very poor on Dubai Lahore section, But again if we have option from Montreal a nd again good fair, i just fly PIA as it seems like back home start from your first take off.
