Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

My Blog post which is around an year old, but the situation is more or less the same (maybe deteriorated in some departments).

Four years of PPP’s Governance
Welcome to PPP’s Pakistan, the government is proud on completing their tenure but it has been nightmare for the general public.

The stats speak for themselves:

Loans:
The graph given below is self explanatory which depicts that Pakistan’s foreign debt has increased 1.5 times during the past 4 years from $40 billion to a staggering$ 60](State of Pakistan: Destinasi Wisata, Kuliner dan Gaya Hidup Terkini) billion.

Now let’s look at the domestic debt:

3.967 trillion

Apr 2010
4.598 trillion

Dec 2010
5.5 trillion

Oct 2011
6.232 trillion

Which shows that the domestic debt has almost doubled during the past four years from 3.266 trillion in June 2008 to 6.232 trillion Rupees in October 2011.

Energy Crisis:
The current regime alleges that the power crisis they had inherited from the previous regime, I agree with that. The shortfall had reached 3600 MW in January 2008 and Gillani claims that they have added 3400 MW to the system which should have improved the situation where as the table below says all.

[TABLE]

**Economy: **
The terrorism persisting in Karachi, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa coupled with the energy crisis has crippled the economy of the country. With the result the textile industry is moving out of Pakistan to Bangladesh.

Railways:
It is considered to be the poor man’s transport but 50 trains have been shut down during this government. According to the minister of railways the organization has suffered a loss of more than 79 million Rupees during the past three years.

PIA :
Almost half of PIA’s fleet (18 out of 39 planes) was grounded in 2011. The loss of PIA has exceeded over 100 billion rupees.

Pakistan Steel Mill:

Pakistan Steel Mill remained a profit making organization from 2000-2007, the last time the organization made profit was in 2007.

The total loss of the organization during the past four years as of Mar 2012 is 130 billion rupees (including 62 billion loss and 68 billion as pending liabilities).

Another thing to note is that the production of the organization has dropped from 82% of capacity utilization in 2007 to less than 20% in 2012.

Inflation:

Fuel prices have recently been increased and they are mostly over the 100 Rs mark, there has been a considerable increase in the electricity rates as well during the past 4 years.

**Karachi: **

Balochistan:
The situation of Balochistan has further aggravated during the present regime, hundreds of people have been abducted and their corpses keep on turning up on road sides. Since June 2010 at least 225 people have been killed (after abduction), according to HRCP about 107 recent cases of abductions have been recorded where as the separatists claim over 10000 people have been abducted.

KP/FATA:
Whereas there has been some improvement in terrorism related incidents in FATA during the past few years, but there is a spike in settled areas like Nowshera, DI Khan, Swabi and Peshawer. Hundreds and thousands of people are languishing as IDP’s, and the war is still far from over. During these years the problem has been sorted out militarily but the economical as well as political aspects have not been used.

As far as the drone attacks in the tribal belt are concerned (long war journal):

Another sazish of Adliya and army…

ZTBL violates rules to oblige Pervez

The bank officials claimed that the former prime minister had returned the “favour” done by ZTBL President Ehsanul Haq to him by “prematurely” reconstituting the bank’s board of directors on the last day of his government, a decision overturned by the Islamabad High Court on Monday.

Funds for ex-PM’s constituency: PWD officials face contempt notice

The PM has left but not his brother

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

How asinine. Are you born and bred on racism? I see a similar trend in Mr. Anwer Pasha's posts, and hes from Punjab himself. No wonder PPP is going down a sinkhole......seems like racism is a party policy. We all heard the chant 'sindh khappay' during last elections.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

jhoot aap bol rahay ho. prove bhi aap karo ke such bol rahay ho. Link financial statements of PIA for the last 15, 20 years, then discuss PIA (Punjab Air Lines) disaster. Sorry agar aap ko sach baat par mirchia lagen.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

It is not ethnicity it is a fact. I have traveled many times from Canada and USA in PIA to Pakistan, all the employees right from pilot to stewards, air hostesses, ground staff at John F. Kennedy and Pearson Airport were belonged to Punjab. Are you denying that PIA is not dominated by employees from Punjab?

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Corruption, mismanagement causes of PIA losses

SC issues notices to relevant parties in PIA corruption case

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Supreme Court orders PIA to bar new recruitments

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Sachi baat par mirchian lagna app ka haq hay. Again link last 20 years of financial statements and then discuss what went wrong to this air line?

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

It is an irony that he talks about Punjab air line yet no peep out of him about the jiyalas that are bharteed in PIA, railway etc who are worse than even Punjabis. Bhutto also send his supporters to saudia back in the seventies but the Saudi king had to deport many because of their chorri chakari attitude.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

akhbar walon ne to akhbar bechna hay. Come to the actual problem. PIA is running in loss since 90's. Your N$ was also PM at that time. The losses did not go away after people were made job less. Link at least 15 years of financial statements then discuss.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Around 2000 people have been hired in PIA during the past five years alone, you want to say all were punjabis or the fact that they were jiyalas? It's not the case of PIA, railways, steel mill, HEC and PSO are all worse now than five years ago.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

You are saying that;

  1. There are no jiyalas in Punjab.
  2. If a person from Punjab is corrupt, the people of Punjab should defend him.
  3. When you see a person, be it steward, air hostess, ground staff or pilot, you judge him or her through her ethnicity.

These posts belong to bigoted racism hall of fame.

You have a problem with people of Punjab calling PIA being overstaffed and staffed with incompetent people, a majority of whom belong to Punjab. What is wrong with that? If you make it your religion to defend wadairas of Sindh just because they belong to Sindh, it doesn't mean that normal people would judge other people through their ethnicity only.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

This is what ppp is all about. They are always blaming others for their own destruction. If they can't blame the army then they use the sindhi-punjabi card. If that doesn't work then they'll find something else.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

You are lying. Post a link to your links, and link them with links.

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy

Re: PIA on the road to destruction - and Pakistani passports, a dream. PPPs legacy
