has anyone ever used www.piaawards.com ?
we fly to pakistan quite often and once i went to the site and submitted the registration form but never heard from anyone..we will be traveling to pakistan again in may and i wanna know how the hell i can take advantage of this program..i called the local pia office in nyc and they dont know much about it..their number in karachi is 21-111-786786. i can call them but i was wondering if anyone uses this program?
I registered for the program some months ago and got the membership card around 8 weeks later.
You get 500 bonus points at the time of registration and then for every PIA travel according to the travel zone and booking class.
With a certain number of points you can get some advantages. For example 3000 points would give you a free upgrade from Economy to Economy Plus on your next domestic travel, etc.
But to get that many points, you would really have to be a very frequent traveller. After 3 years you would loose unused points.
thanks umar..i am just not sure why they never mailed me the card

When did you register?
Yeah, after 10,000 point they actually bring u the requested glass of water on time. :)
If you registered lately, fear not - it takes them a while to mail out the cards. I got mine a few months after registration.

Well PIA has now introduced a US$20 annual subscription for the pleasure of being a FFP member!!
How many of you are going to continue to be members? I suppose those that fly PK often might, but those that fly 1-2 times a year? Your comments on this extra fee?
