Well…we read about this news last night, and could not believe what we were reading on twitter!!! We thought it was just a joke…but nooooo…it is on the news now.
PIA flight, Karachi to Islamabad did a stop at Lahore airport to drop off pilot’s daughter!!!
Common!!! What was he thinking? They kept telling the passengers that they were having technical issues, and then that they did not have enough fuel!!!
Here are some news clips :
The second clip has a phone interview with one of the passengers of the flight
Re: PIA flight - Become a taxi for Pilot's daughter!! LOL
why are you getting so defensive. Unfortunately, every news about PIA is an embarrassment.
To you yes. Maybe Pakistan is an embarrassment to you. But if you follow KKF's posts about Pakistan or PIA or anything Pakistan related, you'll understand why I wrote that.
No more further argument with you lady. You don't know why I wrote that.. so please...
Re: PIA flight - Become a taxi for Pilot's daughter!! LOL
Sadly, there is no attempt by the media to talk to PIA officials and ask about any legal action which might be taken against the girl, her dad, and the actual pilot flying the plane who was all too willing to comply with a co-worker's daughters request.
With the sad state PIA is in, they should be taking strict measures against such nonsense. However, I think this matter will be forgotten in a couple of days and no action will be taken.

The word was very much appropriate though metaphorical. Deleting of that word made above post meaningless.:)
It reminds me of Pakistan Railways. Once I was traveling on engine of an express train on an official duty. Driver requested me to allow some of the Railway officers who were to get off at station where that express train was to run through. I had no objection but I asked the driver how he would explain that detention. He said no problem, he would slowdown the train to 5MPH the officers would easily get off and later he would make up the time by overspeeding. :)
In Pakistan this phenomenon is not new. No one should be amazed or surprised. As one Railway officer used to say "Rail bhi aprhni aor Jail bhi aprhni", his brother was IGP Prison Punjab:)
