I have been wondering for a little while now, how come PIA’s business class doesn’t cost as much as other carriers?
PIA Business Class avg. fare from NY-LHE/KHI is $1253 each way. That’s roughly $2500 for a roundtrip. Compare that to other carriers and you’re sure to pay $6000+. Why is that?
Service? Quality? Name Brand? From the looks of the cabin, PIA’s Business Class looks pretty comfortable for a long route like US-PAK, so why else do you pay the extra $3000+ for on other carriers?
I suspect it has to do with routes: people flying from North America to Pakistan just dont buy biz class.
The product though is a bargain. You wont get the five star pre-departure, post-arrival treatment you get on other airlines ... but you'll have a pleasant in-flight experience. The IFE on the new 777 is good and service / food are decent enough for what you're paying.

But PIA has business lounge access at origin and destination too, doesn't it?
Or is there more to it than just that and cabin comfort?

Doesn't it also depend on the season? Every time I check out the first-class prices, they're at least $2000 frm JFK to Lhr/Khi both summertime and wintertime.

I have been, in Lahore from Dubai twice via PIA they have carged me around USD 800/- for a round trip.
on the other hand Emirates the world's no. 1 airline has charged me USD 1000 only..
and if you are getting PIA in 1200 thats makes the diffrence man. and specially for business class..
