I just heard on wjbo 1150( AM Radio) about the PIA ad in NY Times in 1979. The talk show guy says “PIA was bragging about its new direct flight to NY and the ad they posted was creepy”.
he asked all the listeners to go to his website and look for that ad. they will discuss it on monday. i guess we all know what ad he is talking about.
i will post that link after i go home.
he sounded very negative in his tone.
i can see some more negative publicity coming for pakistan. if you guys listen to that show then please post your comments here cuz i will not be able to listen that show.
I hope some gs people call him on monday…

You hear the dumbest things on AM radio (not you, just saying you in general). The same people who listen to this show probably listen to that one show about aliens and ghosts. You should hear the calls on that show, these people are convinced that aliens are already here.

if any person yip yap about it too much ask them to look at the post 9/11 cigarette ad developed for max cigarettes by Zarmon-Goldman ad agency of Israel.

because then 2 can play at that game.

interesting thing is that I cant find the image of that ad anywhere now, although the ad agency were all gung ho about it but they dont even have it in their own online archives.

And what about NY destructions in mid to late 90s movies. I recommend watch 1997 movie Wag the Dog and see how Hollywood influcences spin masters in Washington D.C. We always thought its other way around, but there are lots of things happening behind the scene that we don't know.

it couldnt be planned for that long.. secondly, In 1979, US was our biggest support, as we were fighting the mighty russians in Afghanistan.. I saw that advertisement like two weeks before,, it appeared totally normal to me..

During those days the ad media used to be very rare in Pakistan. You can expect these kind of advertisement only during those times.

I bet you would not have!

The ad was mostly likely put together by a NY based American company. Twin Towers were symbols of NY and in fact the whole America.

Many companies involved in travel business regularly used the towers in their ads and PIA was no different.

Circulating this ad now (after 9/11) is just in poor taste. And that's all.
