I am new to this forum. My wedding is next year and I am quite short of cash for a wedding photographer and a videographer. There is no way I am going to let my mother pay for this as she is paying for others things. I wanted to ask is it really that necessary to have professional photographer and videographer as I donot have the money. Is their anyone else or has their been anyone else who has not had professional? I mean you dont have to have one do you? I know this seems like a silly question.
I guess you don't NEED a professional......you can always appoint a few family members to help you out! :-D
I'm getting married in October and am on a tight budget too. I've managed to get hold of a good photographer and videographer in one for a good price! He's based in Surrey Quays.....PM if you're interested and I can give you his details..
yup, Im in the same boat, it won't allow me to PM either.
He's charging me £1500 for both video & photography, if you want cheaper, I can try and find someone else for you.
I think good fotography and videography is a must, if possible u can cut down on other things (like decor, own jahez, stuffto givethe ILs:@: ). believe me it will be tempting now to let go of it and rely on relatives/family etc to save a few dollars/pounds but i dontthink its worthit. u canalways find a fotographer who can suit your budget.... good luck
i agree with sara- these are the memories of your day(s)... i would cut back elsewhere too and find some room in the budget for a photographer. i don't know if a videographer is as necessary though- a good photographer should be able to cover all the bits and pieces of your wedding. the second most expensive thing at my wedding was my photographer (outside of the food and even more than my dress!), and i've never regretted it- they captured everything and more that i could have wanted captured- its seriously like film but caught on camera. so, to me, a photographer is worth more than a videographer- you can always have someone film the entrance, rukhsati, and any rasmein on their handheld and then compose the pieces together using simple Mac software.
aaah, if you were here, i could have found you someone exactly in your budget. but sara is right, even i chose not to have any decor because i wanted a good photographer instead.
Thanks everyone for their advice. I will have a think about it:).
The problem is that I havent spent that much on decor, clothes, stage anyway, so if i cut back on those then I wouldnt have any of these. I would prefer to have clothes and jewellery to my liking. Thanks again. But I will keep looking around to find a cheap one!
hi to everyone who has emailed me regarding the details of my photographer. Apologies, I cannot send a PM unless I have a minimum of 25 posts! Once I reach this number I will PM you xxx
