Hello all,
Just wanted to know if there was anyone here who knew where I could get some pictures enhanced? like the whole photoshop stuff! I wanted a wedding album made in digital format - and therefore wanted a photographer to do both that and the enhancements.
Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks

to convert them in to digital images take your negatives to a photo center like walmart, cvs, walgreen, etc. and ask them to make u a cd of those negatives. it will cost from anywhere .29 -.49 cents per image. Most of the time when they convert it to digital images the machine corrects the brightness/contrast. It will be different from your hard copies you already have. Every time you develop a photo form negatives the brightness and contrast will be different from others due to adjustments made during the process.
After you have the digital copy look at them see if you like the results if you still want to enhance the images you can take the cd to a societal photo store and they will enhance the images according to your needs. it could cost you alot or if you have photoshop or any other program you can do it yourself. If you need help you may google it or ask here.
I always enhance my own images using photoshop. I made an album using epson storyteller. Its just a album tht comes with a book, cover and photo paper. you can print your own images after enhancing it. It was a cute little project. I gave her the book on her b'day she loved it because i made it rather getting it done from a photo center :)
How you want to enhance them? do you want to change contrast/brightness? or do you want something like changing the colors, background, adding objects or removing, etc.

mac makes great iPhoto print products at very reasonable prices, and super easy to use with iPhoto - literally drag and drop.
once you’re done the enhancing, you could consider making one- they’re hard cover books and really good quality.

Thanks Noman, I have digital images, about 10-12MB each from a professional camera that I want to get made into a wedding album.. and the pictures DO need a little work on them. Theyre all RAW material and nothing has been done to enhance the images.. therefore I dont want to put pictures in a digital Album without getting them properly enhanced and fixed. I tried to figure out how to use photoshop but I think its something u need time to learn and I dnt want to experiment on my wedding pix..

I could have helped you with your request but I am a million miles away. definately find someone closer to home and check out their work.
If you are quite particular (some will call this being fussy) take your time to find the right person and be prepared to pay a pretty penny too.
Many designers spend a lot of time enhancing and designing albums into storybooks etc. You really need to have the knowledge, expertise and an artistic mind its not everyones cup of tea.
Once the design work is done you must have a look at it before it goes into production or print as any changes afterwards may cost you.
You can experiment with photoshop if you have the time, it wont ruin anything as you will have your original files as a back up, thats if your up to it of course.

Affysmooth thanks for the info.. one of my friends offered to design the whole STORYBOOK thingy for me and honestly him having done my wedding re-shoot i was soo ready to give the work to him. But I find that he's overbooked himself and he doesnt give the product back to u on time. we've already had major issues with the original photographer who shot the wedding turning out to be a jerk.. so i really didnt want to have to wait for another 6 mnths for my wedding pics to be in an album.. however, where are u based??
