Hi everyone! I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but I am desperate. I feel sooo bad for my friend who got married last year. She did not have a professional photographer at her wedding and her pics came out so so. I would love to crop and edit her pictures for her. Some of them have red eye in them and I wanted to download a free software where I can not only get rid of red eye but crop and give it an airbrush feel and take out blemishes as well. I’d like to give her a finished album for her anniversary which is this June 1st. Please recommend the best free software out there. THANKS!!
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
can this be moved to the wedding forum? Maybe someone has used an editing software for their wedding or other pictures there?
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
download this one.
PhotoScape - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com
It got 4 star ratting from CNET editors and users.
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
OMG!!! Thankyou so much Mr Mirch!!!!
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
But Mirch, have you used it yourself?
?..sometimes they give ratings just-just…doesnt all work.![]()
I cannot be of help, I myself am trying to get myself to learn such things:(
And why is this in the Machines/Gadgets section:konfused:
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
The best one by far out there is GIMP. Its free and its almost as good as Adobe Photoshop:
GIMP - Downloads
And here is the documentation for it:
GNU Image Manipulation Program
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
Thank you so much tofibaba!! I was coming here to say I tried photoscape and don't like it that much.
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
With a photo editing software I want to be able to make the pictures look clean and professional..Take out any blemishes and such, not just remove red eye.
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
One of the best photo editing softwares out there (IMHO) is Adobe Photoshop. I just compared the GIMP to that application, so there must be some credibility there, right? :)
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
Phool: Did you try it out?? do let me know your opinion as well ok:)
Me now going to read and learn on it:D
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
I have used different types of photo editing software, and Adobe PhotoShop CS3 is by far the best... but if you don't want to pay for the hefty licence coughtorrentscough then the best alternative that i have used is GIMP... and it takes up less resources than CS3 when running... :)
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
Hey photoshop is best
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
You have to be really good with PS3 to do all that good stuff. If you want something preset then i'll recommend Picasa photo editor ( By Google ). Lots of kool stuff to play around.........
Re: PHOTO EDITING SOFTWARE
Photshop is great and all, but its not affordable/needed.
Pain.Net is the second best thing, its Free Open Source (i support all things open source), small in size on disk and memory, and as powerful as Photshop.
you can get it from here:
Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing
P.S: u need microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to run it (if u run Vista, u have it. And u run XP and its upto date, u most probably have). Or u can download it from microsoft directly, let me know.
