im new to this site so if anyone has responded on the same topic on earlier threads i apologise but i am in much dilemma! HELP!!!
urgently need details of very good photographers and videograpahers (ideally someone who deals with both) for a wedding coming up.
need it for 3 day event (mehndi, Barat and Walima).
i have seen some pretty good reviews on a couple of companies,
namely:
Usman jamshed and Guddu and Shani. please do not say kairos as that guy is misleading and changes his stories every now and then.
flying out to pakistan in june 2012 and want only the best. we live about half an hour away from lahore (hafizabad). full accommodation and hospitality would be provided for the crew.
any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Where is the misleading part? Just cuz I was not willing to accomodate your out of town wedding initially, does it make me misleading. Mashallah I had literally 9 inquiries for Lahore weddings for the dates that I was travelling to khi for a wedding. Hence the reluctance to book out of town weddings. My work http://www.atxdreams.com speaks for itself and even you acknowledged it. It is my right to accept or decline weddings as I choose!
Here is what happened for your record.
Initially, I declined your out of town wedding for 2011. Then you asked if I would be willing to do an out of town wedding in 2012 if not in 2011. Upon your insistence and factoring in the inflation/travel, I gave you an adjusted quote for 2012. You did not like the fact that price changed…I apologize if you expected 2010 prices to still work for 2012! Sadly, inflation kicks in! I have the whole email thread and I can post it here if you want it

read the e-mail carefully and then speak your mind.
it was never about the price and i specifically stated that in the e-mails.
it was a case of obtaining clear cut prices from yourself because in your original e-mail you said (if you want me then its additional etc etc etc). i then sent you an e-mail saying that i want the final price to which you said no.
end of. like i said, i have arranged for a brilliant photographer and best of luck to you.

I am inclined to do so bcuz u r needless slandering me on a public forum and I got a right to defend myself. You got rattled that I showed little interest in your out of town wedding and at your insistence/persistence i quoted a different price for 2012 from the ones i had quoted for 2011. That is all. anyways also please dont be fooled into thinking that Guddu and Shani will be coming out to Hafizabad for your wedding. It will be there chota most likely with an entry level camera and cheapest kit lens...but cant blame you. You did try to get me out there!

As for who i have chosen, that is my business and that remains with me. As for “getting you out there”, rest assured that that is not the case. I don’t NEED anyone to come out. If someone is planning a wedding they will be contacting various companies in order to obtain information regarding what services are on offer which is a right of every customer.
As for the “slander” statement, that isn’t the case.
If someone has publicly advertised their products or services (i.e. on a public forum such as this – which i may add you have done on almost every topic you have commented on which has also been picked up by other members), and if someone has had any dealings with that company then they are well within their rights to express the dealing they have had on the same public forum. If however i had mentioned regarding the experience i had with you on another forum or another website then that would be classified as slander as publicly, the other members are not aware of what you are offering etc. I am in a legal profession therefore i am aware of slander, false advertising and misrepresentation
But if you wish to talk about slander, then the previous posts you have commented on regarding you being better than Guddu and Shani or cheaper than Usman Jamshed, or even a more recent statement where you have made comment regarding someone called "Chotu" with a basic kit and entry level camera – that would be classified as slander. I don’t see them complaining as i presume the afore mentioned companies have a certain business integrity
I hope you get good coverage. The bottom line is that I was too busy then and too busy now to engage in this needless argument. Just wanted to defend myself in response to my "misleading" behaviour. Expecting the current prices of 2010 to be still applicable in 2012 would be a little too much! And that too I agreed only cuz you specifically asked after I excused myself, if i would be willing to do out of town weddings in 2012 if not 2011. I did try to accommodate you but i guess you cant make everyone happy!
@ Bradiboi - I'm sure you have the best photographer for your fabulous wedding! Ignore other people's petty, jealous, undignified, and unprofessional comments which make only them look bad.
