Phobias

What’s yours??

And how do you overcome it?

My worst phobia is … not being able to breathe properly :hayaa:

I hate going into extremely crowded places.. last year when I went to Pakistan, (during ramadan) I went shopping in icchra bazaar in lahore and it was soooo crowded I couldn’t breathe and nearly fainted … it might not sound so serious but if ur not used to fainting, it can be a very scary experience… I felt like I was losing my eyesight  everything turned dark, my head started spinning,… my sister thinks it was because I was wearing a hijab in such hot weather and i was fasting on top of it… :aq: I was like ermmm nooo.. it was sooo crowded, people were smoking n all, i just couldn’t breathe!!!

And I hate going into suffocating/extremely narrow places, even very small cars … or even the attic !! :hayaa: :hayaa:

Re: Phobias

i don't think i have one, except that even little bit of mess depresses me out, i don't know if excessive cleaning is a kind of phobia or not.

Re: Phobias

i have a phobia of foam. when i see someone's mouth foaming even with toothpaste or a rabid dog foaming or old people with guck in the corners of their mouth it makes me vomit.

But then again, I always brush my teeth without feeling nauseous so I dont know whats going on there.

:cb: you’re like my mother, Hareem. How do you overcome it, may I ask? lol

Never heard that one before :konfused:

Re: Phobias

i know, it's weird.

lolz…I usually try not to think about it too much and busy myself with something else and sometimes I go in the open to get some fresh air. I become anxious to clean even if I see some cleaning work that needs to be done in a picture or when I’m in somebody else’s house. :cb:

:omg: You would be my mom’s favvvourite daughter!!!

Not a phobia but maybe an OCD type situation?

Phobia is something you really avoid, and you clearly don't avoid excessive cleaning.

Re: Phobias

Other then women?

::hmmm: some time when I in middle of getting-into-sleep cycle. And my by brain is shutting off I feel like I am dying. But it happens once a year or so, or some time bit more often.
But it does not scare me any more.

When I was little and I lie down and imagine I am in a box , I would have trouble breathing.
I told my father he said “stop imagining your self in a box” that was easy fix wasnt it?

Re: Phobias

I have Coulrophobia - which is the fear of clowns. And no, I'm not kidding :( they scare the beejeejis out of me!!!

@Jimmy: lolzzz kinda similar to mine, but good thing you’ve overcome yours… my worst nightmare of not being able to breathe still haunts me :(… And why do women scare you???

@ Kurri: awwwww u poor babyyyy :hugz:

So the theme for ur next bday party would be circus, eh?

:hehe: just kidding !

Re: Phobias

oh gosh, KP, I dont blame you. They can be pretty scary looking.

When I went to EuroDisney, I was pretty scared of the life sized Goofy and Mickey Mouse.

Do you have some sort of OCD? That kind of fetish with cleanliness isn't normal. You make lazy people like me look bad:D

Re: Phobias

Snakes

Re: Phobias

Haha at kids birthday parties you’ll normally find me hiding in the bathroom crying my eyes out, my kids are gonna have rubbish parties :frowning: bless them.

Re: Phobias

@Gaia: Snakess… me tooo… yuck yuck yuck!!! Alhumdulillah there’s no snakes in Ireland :hehe:

Same here! Unless its people, I know e.g. a shaadi, khana etc, I know I avoid restaurants that are known to be full to the brink. Don't mind theme parks etc but just restaurants full of people...
