What is the career path and scope of pharmacist in the UK,who has done his bachelors of pharmacy from pakistan? does he needs to equivalent his bachelor degree before applying for the postgraduation?or how should he get started?
Re: Pharmacist in UK
I don't have any information regarding UK but I think you will first have to get their pharmacist certification in order to practice in UK but as far as education is concerned I believe you should get admission based on your B.Pharm

Radiant , I wish I could help , Infact i will ask around , but please dont abandon this thread , keep coming back and sharing the info that you achieve ...
Are there any specific questions you need to know?
Re: Pharmacist in UK
A person with a bachelor in pharmacy from Pakistan would need to have his B.Pharm certified in UK I think. If the bachelors are equals, which they are not at times, he/she can continue with Postgraduation or supply with other subjects.
If he has a Pharm.D degree from pakistan, he would still need to equivalent his degree to UK. Furthermore, he would need to obtain a registeration. Further information: http://www.pharmacyregulation.org/index.aspx

Re: Pharmacist in UK
Hi,I am a Pharmacist in England what you would have to do is contact a university in England which did Pharmacy as each University has their own criteria. Anyway you would probably have to repeat the last 2 years of the degree in England once you have passed the final year exam you then have to do a years Pre-registration year for a firm, i.e in community, hospital or industry ( after going for interviews) then you sit a pre-registration exam, once you pass that then you can practice pharmacy. Above all before you can get started in any of this you would have to do a conversion course before you can even get onto the Bsc hons Pharmacy dergree. I hope i've answered your question.
