I think Pakistan’s fashion industry could really go far. Here’s why currently they’re not moving anywhere.

They’re concentrating on petty issues. One of the biggest issues for Fashion-fanatics is “lahore vs. Karachi”. Seriously. When will people grow up? And these are the folks who think they’re better than every other hoo-haa in Pakistan, because they can just dress better (and they usually have a lot of money to go with it).

  1. The prettiest of the pretties are from Lahore (Vinny, Aamina, Iman Ali, ZQ, Nadya Malik – need we say more).
  2. We have the required sprinkling of gay and happy people.
  3. One half of the Hilton sisters lives here while the beautiful Paris keeps flying down.
  4. Uncle Yusuf is always available for free consultancy, co-ordination, PR and fashion advice.
  5. We have the time to dress up and look good.
  6. Lahore is the only city that can boast of photographers, for whom photography is a full-time profession.
  7. The weather allows us to wear the bare minimum.
  8. We like to b*^(^%.

thats pathetic…but for some weird reason I think lahori girls r prettier too :confused: I guess I was brought up to think that way

it almost makes us girls seem as if we're grouped into breeds...the lahori breed, the karachitte breed...

good God. What next? The peshawari breed?

I don't care what anyone says. In the end, we're all brown.

pata nahi why mostly lahories have to compare themselve to karachites not just in fashion but in alot of other issues :smack:

instead of being like we are better than karachies they need to concentrate their work… and represent a better Pakistan..cuz in the world they are recognized as Pakistani rather than lahori or karachi… :S
