u can a cat that doesnt have any hair …they are quite ugly but they do exist. I cant remember what they are called.

Take the kid to the pet shop . Let him take a look around. See what attracts him. Dogs are certainly a nono :nono: . But let him choose…

They usually like pets that they can actually play with
Kittens are a good option, but you said you dont like it

Birds are second good option, the kid can help clean the cage, feed them
Choices are limited .. if you live in an apartment

the problem is that the kids get bored very easily
thts why kittens and puppies are the best pets

the kids can actually play with them
unlike birds or fish

Umm.. how about a Tamagotchi? They have ones in skunk colors too.. you just spray it with garlic and rub a little raw cow liver over it I think it will do the job

Or if you want a long-term dedication requiring clown chimpanzee/gorilla. I know a gorilla named Koko who was kept in a lab for observation purposes and he forced his female caretakers into taking off their tops and then fondled their tits.. I know disgusting but like LOL < They have some in there I guess. Sorry, I guess I had to tell about that.

I was a kid myself (not TOO long ago )

my kids gave me a real torrid time when they wanted pets
they researched on their own and narrowed down the choice to 4 legged animals - birds (2 legged) and fish (no legs) were struck off the list…

it made my job so easy

So I had to chose a kitten
