the important point is that it is not govt's job to interfere in ppl's religous beliefs.
If someone wants to be last prophet amongst us, he or she can do it. If soemone says Quran is not correct, let there be cicil doscourse and discussion on it. Govt has no right to kill or persecute anyone for challenging a religion or inventing a religion.
And if someone goes violent against a person just because of his religous beliefs, it is govt's duty to protect his rights to live peacefully.
Blashphemey laws deny all such personal rights, and allow govt to monitor a common men's religous thinking and practise.
