Peter Thomas Roth and/or ROC Products

Anyone use them? Any recommendations?

I had a friend tell me she swears by Peter Thomas Roth and she has pretty good skin. She used the anti-aging cleansing gel and a variety of their masks.

Another friend swears by ROC day and night moisturizer for wrinkles and clear skin.

I want to see if anyone else can make recommendations.

I have fairly clear combination skin and am now noticing more prominent wrinkles around the eyes and forehead area. Don’t wear a lot of makeup (some foundation, blush, lipstick and eyeliner) and wash with cetaphil daily. I was told cetaphil doesn’t actually help with washing off makeup (like foundation- so its probably still on my skin and folds making it looks like wrinkles!).

anyone have any recommendations or experience with Peter Thomas Roth or ROC products?

pros/cons?

Re: Peter Thomas Roth and/or ROC Products

Try peels for wrinkles and a product with retin A that increases cell turnover. Look into emollient products...rosehip oil, coconut oil, olive oil...are also said to keep wrinkles at bay.

Re: Peter Thomas Roth and/or ROC Products

I have never used ROC or Peter Thomas Roth products. One thing you have to always keep in mind is that everyone’s skin is different. So just b/c a skincare product or make-up works great for someone else, there is no guarantee that it will work for you. I would recommend going through reviews on makeupalley and then starting to try out stuff. One great thing about being in the U.S. is the amazing return policies pretty much all stores have. So you have nothing to lose by buying something and trying it. If you don’t like it for some reason, return it and get something else.

For anti-aging, look for products with ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, L-ascorbic acid, lactic acid etc. If you’re willing to go see a derm or order online, you can also get actual Retin-A. You also have the options for light chemical peels you can do at home. Makeup Artist’s Choice (online store) also has some great products that’s worth looking.

One thing I’m sure you friends have told you about is the importance of using a sunscreen daily. That’s the #1](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=1) anti-aging thing. I use Juice Beauty CC Stemp Cellular Cream daily which is 20% zinc and provides great sun protection. But yes, no matter what, wear sunscreen daily.

I keep Cetaphil in the shower and sometimes use it after gym. If you read the box/bottle, no where does it say that it’s meant to remove make-up. You need to get a product that actually dissolves/removes make-up. I use carrier oils that I buy at Garden of Wisdom (online site) to remove my make-up by doing the OCM method. I also keep a bottle of Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser and use if I’m feeling lazy; if you read this bottle, it actually says that it removes make-up. I would also recommend keeping a very gentle toner that has no actives and using that afterwards to make sure all make-up is removed; I’ve used Dickinson’s Witch Hazel for years and love it.
