in psych of lang class, there is a chapter always in which we discuss the culturally learnt effects of people picking up “filler” phrases or sentences i.e. you know what i mean, what do u call it etc etc.

people do so after a while, involuntarily.

i at times, say “hey” as in dant, too many times, i know.

do u folks do that? please if u feel like, share what re ur pet phrases and sentences.
