or the life experiences causes this in people?

because not all people with difficult lives are pessimist…nor all people with easy lives are optmists…:hmmm:

environment influences the most...the people u live with and the people who brought u up influence ur personality traits..

very much agree. Not all the experiences shape you always. You personality is shaped by the influences around you, and this is what further determines how you go through with different experiences as well.

What if you are optimistic and you have a family member who is pessimistic, yet you grew up in the same environment, with the same influences?

yea…thats why i added the second part…not all who experience bad stuff are pessimists…there got to be something else too :konfused:

I think its your personality...what you're born with. Although at times you can also train yourself to be a certain way because life will teach you those lessons.

I know people who have had amazingly easy lives (or so it seems) but are always pessimistic. On the other hand, I have seen some go through the hardest of times with a smile on their faces.
