There were two major reasons else than normal security threat. After P.C. attack crue and pilots were having problems to stay and the were hasitating to come here. Perhaps they wanted to use the airport for operation.

One rear end of this airport's runway is crossed by a railway line.Its not a mjor Airport but one can get connection flights to Middle east,Afghanistan and other parts of Pakistan.
