the way this issue was propagated and he had to clarify himself on tv that i am not ahmadi shows the pain, stress that ahmadi community has to go through in Pakistan.

There was a time when people could be openly Ahmadi and active members of society… Sir Zafarullah Khan, Dr Abdus Salam etc.
Then reason began to recede and intolerance was legitimized.

Well PD that is obvious for us Ahmadis anyway but it tells you a whole lot about the society where such things occur quite on regular basis … it’s more like he has to declare that he doesn’t have this “disease” … and as long as this society remains intolerant it’ll keep pushing the country backwards …
Todays it’s us, the Hindus, the christians … it’s starting with Shias at different levels and soon it’ll be different sects within the Sunnis … ask those who had either to apologize or to flee the country
BTW i’ve yet to find a Hadith where the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW ask to harm or even kill anyone who disagreed with him but yet we see millions who claim to have their heart full of love for him only urge to kill ppl who disagree with them
No better way to distort and destroy the beautiful face of Islam than this … even the most ardent enemy couldn’t come with such a plan … And of course we’ve TV stations who promote this …

I can understand your pain. starting from bhutto’s last few years and then followed by zia era, our society has gradually turned into a completely non-tolerant fry pan where minorities are being boiled and fried at will. they are scared and have no hope because state (politicians, military/civilian establishments ) has promoted this religious fanaticism for one reason or the other.

We should be disturbed by the extent of the bigotry against Ahmadis in Pakistan. Its extremely detrimental to the Pakistani society, yet there are so many who endorse it. And then we wonder why there is so much intolerance in Pakistan.
When you have this occurring on the biggest tv channel in the nation, you just know the extent of the bigotry is so deeply entrenched in the mind of people, it will take massive courage to just speak up against it publically.
