If your application has been rejected from the university, and it was your first choice and you really wanted to go there. How would you persuade the admission tutor that you are the one they should take and you are the one who is full of talent and will prove to be a talented student.
I have conact with the admission tutor and i need to email her
by monday. What kinda things should i write to persuade her.
The tone of your letter should not be pleading...more friendly then anything else.
Use actual numbers so they can see proof of competency. Explain any issues that might have impacted any SAT or ACT score that was low.
Talk about your strengths, why you would be an asset to their institution. Also, discuss the uni itself...shows you know about the school and are not just trying to get in out of parental pressure.
Always have a better connection with such people other than just work related purposes.. if your marks are not up to the par then they look at your over all personality to be part of their faculty.. you must know them by their names, so you can address them personally, that shows your avidity.. have a cup a tea with them.. just prove them you are a good candidate.. because writing them another letter wont do you any good since they have already made their decision.. but try to know them in person.. build up a good consociation, then re-apply.
With the current situation here, most courses are already way oversubscribed and universities have plenty of students apply who have achieved above the minimum AS grades they are looking for and have lots to offer. I can't guess why you were turned down but if it was grades then there is not much you can do.
If all the other universities gave you a conditional offer you may be able to persuade this one too. They respond better to teachers, so if you have a teacher who believes in you and can make a case for you, that might help.
