Perspective

I was wondering what if this whole world is each person’s own perspective. For example, Person A views an object from their own perspective, but that very same object is something else or doesn’t even exist in person B’s view.

This is a very difficult theory to understand and explain.

Re: Perspective

It's very likely that it's actually the case. But at the same time, we all share things like experiences, teachings, and emotions that help us to connect with each other's perspectives.

Re: Perspective

we had such talks when we were kids....
mostly about colors....

like person A sees blue color and calls it blue....
but person B sees it as green, but for him green is blue and he calls it blue....
so every person sees a different color but that is blue for him....

that wud explain why some thing appears beautiful to one person and not to the other....

but as I grew older, Iknew such things were universal and wud not be limited to individuals only....

Re: Perspective

^ How did you 'learn' such things were universal? Cuz I don't see any possible way of 'knowing' that.

Re: Perspective

i dont think it changes even when we grow up....
actually i started to apply this to every part of my life and it started to make sense...
which is why i think discussing stuff isnt ALWAYS a useful thing....people go back home with the same opinions and believe what they want to believe

Re: Perspective

umari_ahmed, perhaps reading a bit more about Plato's philosophy will/can add some insight into this topic for you
