Dont take it to heart. Some people say mean things or judgemental phrases because they dont want anything to do with you. Not because they really believe you are all that.

Well I have experienced momentary anger from people I interact with and I myself have done it, said things I didnt mean and heard things which they didnt really want to say. I am talking from personal experiences and most probably you are doing that from those too so its a difference of perception.
As per your second statement, it is your right but hopefully you do it in a civil manner. What if the person you dont get along well is your family member? You cant really walk away then can you? So I always try to learn how to be civil and thats what people should do I believe.

Yes he will be annoyed and hurt but it still lessens the pain if harsh words are not said. Mark my words here miss, nothing hurts more than cruel words. I have said some to variuos people in my life and still get ashamed of what I did.

I take time ro make my judgements about people and then I dont change because my judgements are result of keen observation and longer ones too.
