I took the M-B test recently and it said I am natural leader! Has anyone else done these tests and how valid are they?

aah - the age old Myers Briggs test... you've got be kidding if you take it seriously.
I view is as descriptive, and not prescriptive - the theory that every individual falls into one of 16 boxes of personality doesn't strike me as an exhaustive criteria - besides, my attitude towards taking the test can make hell of a difference... if you take it during a job interview situation (where you'll be more cautious about what you say) vs. just for fun in your own privacy... results will most probably be different.
as a test, if you are surprised by how well the fit for your type is, try reading the description of your opposite type - I think you'll still get a 60-70% fit for your so called opposite as well.

I don't believe in Personality or Intelligence testing, to me such tests test what the test is testing and nothing else.
There are definately more than 16 personalities in the world as there are more than 7 intelligences.
The theory behind personality/intelligence types is great, but testing, not so much.

Disagree. Remember it is 16 TYPES of personalities, not count of personalites.
Self awareness is worthwhile. Ofcourse if we take anyone particular technique and try using its resulot, well it becomes as chancy ads astrology or numerology or similarology.
I found it useful - for example, it did point out what I have been suspecting lately ie I should let others contribute too instead of bulldozing through.

i've taken a few of those. they're like horoscopes. some are right off the mark while others are uncannily accurate.

It said that my best profession would be a farmer. and I think it was correct since I like to do gardening. For some reason I feel a lot of comfort and relaxation around plants.
but o well, inshallah my profession would be in medicine.
