Personality in focus. This is the second week we are doing this, last week we had some discussion about Ibne Safi. The thread is till out there so if someone wants to post more on it please do so. I had decided to have a personality of the week discussion just so we know more about people who have made an impact.
This week, I am looking at a person who has made a definite impact on Pakistan from a service point of view. It is a shame that not many people know much Abdul Sattar Edhi. I just know what he does and who he is, besides that I dont know much about him.
I would like to have a discussion about the man, his life and his contributions.
I have heard conflicting rumors about edhi. Enough to make him look like a saint and a wolf in a sheep's skin. But deep in my heart, something tells me that he's a genuine case.
His ambulances and chopper(s) roam karachi, infact all of Pakistan, by helping the poor, distressed and the needy. I commend Edhi for what he has done for Pakistan.
We should provide edhi with our financial support so he can sustain his endeavors. :)
Imran Khan was impressed with his work..so he suggested to him "lets make a pressure group for the goodwork" Edhi reported it to the media later that Imran was trying to get him into a terror group of some kind.
