Re: Persecution of Ahmadis Continues Unabated
Ahmadis abide by the law as much as it could be. They have been stopped from having a jalsa in Pakistan and they don’t do that. Word ‘Islam’ is omitted from its daily Al-fazal and written on the face ‘for ahmadis only’ to avoid much talked about ‘confusion’ among sarkari muslims. They don’t go in the streets like hooligans and destroy property of others in the name of defending the honor of the prophet (pbuh). They don’t kill and loot people in the name of their religion or for the oppression they are facing. The response that came from them after May 28th, 2010 mass killings was exemplary and unheard of among the torch bearers of Islam.
The ordinance XX is a blatant violation of the constitution that claim to ensure freedom of the practice of religion. Declaring someone a non-muslim is one thing but telling him what should he believe in and what not is not just ridiculous but shameful. Whether you consider me a muslim or not but I believe in Allah, the holy prophet (pbuh), Quran etc. It is my right to offer prayer the way I believe in, it is my right to fast and do qurbani as per my beliefs. how can anyone including state tell me that I should act against my beliefs and as per their wishes when I am not disturbing peace of the society neither challenging writ of the state. Can you declare a man, a woman and then force him to give birth to a baby. simply preposterous.
