Durood word is arabic. I dont know what do we call it in Urdu and I didnt know that darood was farsi nor the difference between Darood-o-salam. I think its the same word so I said that. :) I know your intension was possitive so lets keep this thread positive.

The phrase however is used as a gesture of sincere, wholehearted and profound greeting among people that one trusts in Persian.
Aur bhaijaan, humare aapas mein yeh aap-shaap ki baatein na karna. Aap mujhe 'tum' yah 'tu' kehiye. I much prefer being casual. I find formality.....stifling. :)
