Permanent Makeup

I know this is similar to some of the recent threads in here…but I was watching “the Doctors” yesterday and saw their amazing report on permanent makeup. There was a washed out blondie, pale faced, pale lips, sparse eyebrows, pale eyes.

They did permanent makeup, similar to tattoo-ing, gave her eyebrows, lipliner, eyeliner. The results were ASTOUNDING. She was beautiful. And WAKES UP beautiful every day.

Gotta get me some of that man. Halaal or not, it was a wondrous transformation.

Re: Permanent Makeup

I’m sure I’d like to look exactly the same way every single day. It would get boring :bummer:

When the woman gets older and her face starts sagging and the skin loosens, wouldnt her makeup end up all over the place!!!

Re: Permanent Makeup

The thing is though...the colors they use are natural colors embedded in the skin like a tatoo. If you want a different look, just use regular makeup. Otherwise, you still wake up every day ready to go with makeup on.

I don't like it much.I am fine with what I am.:)

It won't last anywhere near that long.. it's actually semi-permanent, not permanent.. 3-5yrs absolute max..

Re: Permanent Makeup

I dont know if I am up for that...as much as I complain...I actually do like me and want to be able to see myself the way Allah swt made me.

Re: Permanent Makeup

The other concern is...its a tattoo...isnt it? How would that look once skin starts to age? A little messy, no?

Re: Permanent Makeup

I would love the permenant eyeliner. It would shave 5-10 minutes in my mornings.

Is there something like permenant SPF? yeah we need those too.

In Egypt, everyday salons where you get threading done also did permenant makeup. It was dirt cheap too. It lasts a year or two and then starts fading.

:k:

Re: Permanent Makeup

When a woman starts to age, she'll get crinkly lines in the lips and around the eyes. Hands are a bit shaky and eyesight isnt what it used to be. Did you ever see lipstick running into the wrinkles around an older womans mouth? Or eyeliner applied with an unsure hand? It looks awful and its hard to prevent. BUT permanent makeup takes away all of these problems. It isnt the year-long type that I saw but rather permanent tatoo-ing.

That is what would freak me out...yikes!

I know what you're saying mama but you can actually take care of those things with a rigorous skin care regimen if someone is really really concerned enough.

I dont know...tattooing...:(

i think id miss my old face lol. itd be weird looking in the mirror and seeing someone else after 24 odd years.

Re: Permanent Makeup

There is just something about waking up with a dull, bechara-fied face.

Re: Permanent Makeup

it's interesting that you mention this program. i'm in the uk, so i've never heard of it or watched it. but it was bought up for discussion on a hair removal forum because the information about laser was completely inaccurate. the experts on there are seething that people are shown this kind of stuff and gain hope and confidence in a process that in reality works very differently from shown on the program and with varying results.

sooo... i'd be very sceptical about what you're seeing on that show in regards to permanent make up as well.

My friend is getting a permanent eye liner but to me I don't think so I'll ever do that. Two reasons I love myself what ALLAh has made us and second tatoos are not halaal in ISlam . Now don't get all shocked on it but it is true.

Re: Permanent Makeup

I don't like putting on make up everyday so halal or not I'm never going for it.

Re: Permanent Makeup

Its such an anti-men strategy. I smell conspiracy. :D

Now I have to see her same way everyday?

It would be like having a 'doll' walking around at home!

See, if make up is worn you feel she did something for the man and it is something special.
Having even semi-permanent make up, could be boring.

Re: Permanent Makeup

It would hurt :bummer:

but but but but i think htat looks cute :bummer:

I dunno, even if I’m for lipo/breast implants etc, Im wary about this. Tbh i’m perfectly happy with my face…well at least not to the extent that I would get a tattoo.
