Permanent Makeup

Ever thought of it? If so what have you been considering?

Re: Permanent Makeup

It's like getting a tattoo, so i doubt that it would be permissible from an Islamic perspective.

Apart from that.......I personally wouldn't. I usually don't like wearing much makeup and I like having the option of going for a natural makeup-free look whenever I want.

Re: Permanent Makeup

i would definitely get this kajol line in the eyes done ...

Re: Permanent Makeup

i've been wearing eyeliner every single day of my life since i was 13. so maybe eyeliner if anything.

Re: Permanent Makeup

Nah, i don’t like the look of it… it’s way too strong and full-on. My threading lady has her eyeliner and eyebrows done… it looks so… over the top. I don’t like it. :bummer:

I had full lip colour and liner done about 3 weeks ago, straight afterwards my lips looked huge as if I'd had lip injections (the girl said I looked like Leslie Ash with her trout pout lol) and over the next few days they went really really dry which is what she said to expect and then the colour would peel off and reveal the 'real' shade.. Stupid me I forgot I had a really important party to go to and so as the skin was peeling, esp from the corners of my mouth, I wondered what to do... Decided to just peel the whole lot off and now the liner still shows up really well but the lip colour doesn't show at all..

Was thinking about getting eyebrows done at the same time but was scared it would be too dark (I read a lot of ppl on forums complaining about this) and cos my hair is light it would stand out too much and I'd look like a clown.. Lip colour can be subtle (they do a colour 'blush' that gives just a hint of colour rather than the bold looks most ppl tend to associate with permanent makeup)..

Redvelvet's right, it is haram tho so if ur v.practising best to leave it..

Re: Permanent Makeup

never, ever! (inshAllah, I hope I stick to this)

Re: Permanent Makeup

No way. I sometimes (surprisingly) like to go all natural and don't you get bored of the same colours/makeup EVERY day?

Re: Permanent Makeup

my eyebrows are really really light..so id get them darkened permanently! its better than using an eyebrow pencil everyday to mark their existence! haha

thats it =)

oh btw, Gina u got any tips for making eyebrows darker? (yes i know, i ask u for tips everywhere!!!! lol.. accept my apology)

You can use normal makeup with some other colour over it, if it's lip colour it's not like it's opaque.

Eyebrows might be a pain tho if the person later decides they want to dye their hair lighter but stuck with much darker brows. Am sure permanent brows would be pretty hard to cover or change..

Re: Permanent Makeup

I saw a lady once, she had it done and then with age her skin got all droppy, so it looked sooooooo weird!!!!!!

Great post! :)

ure right! i never thought about that! lol

Re: Permanent Makeup

erm no.i like my ugly self:naraz:

Re: Permanent Makeup

no way........ because i know a few weeks and i will be sick of that look and would want a change.....plus i dont want to experiment with my poor self anymore lol my body and everything curse itself for being a part of me lol i treat me as a lab rat at times......

SO its a NO NO!!

Re: Permanent Makeup

and some times looking total plain is very appealing :)

Re: Permanent Makeup

i wanted to do the kajal/eyeliner thing....but then i came to know its haram

plus...aghar fautgi pe jana parr jaye to ? :O
it would look strange if u come with makeup lol :D

Re: Permanent Makeup

I'd never get it done..I'm happy the way i am.

Re: Permanent Makeup

I would never get it done :p.It would be boring to have the same look every day. Its good to experiment with different looks and colors;) Wasaiy bhi i dont wear makeup, i like looking natural :p. But im going to start soon though :bummer: Damn imperfections :snooty:

my mom's sister (who is guyanese and married a hispanic man) got her makeup done permanently and that is really unheard of among guyanese/trinidadian women. it was funny because my cousin's husband used to comment how beautiful my aunt always looked even after rolling outta bed and my cousin was like YAH because her makeup is always on and had to explain it to him.

she chose natural colors and did a normal lip line and color, a thin amount of eyeliner and barely did her brows, it looks great.

I myself love to swim but my eyes are really huge, like bug eyed and so i always wanted to get my eyeliner done (in a thing line) so that i would never have crazy big eyes while swimming or boating.

Now my persian best friend is a trip because she always makes fun of all the aunties that have bleached their hair to some shade of blonde, tattooed on the eyebrows (it looks very obvious and dark as if someone just drew them on and they shave the hair as it grows). Also the darker lip liner and thicker eyeliner but even with all of that i have to say though these aunties look very fake and barbie like, it kinda works for most of them. Not all, but most of them look nice.

However when it comes down to it i was taught if you get a tattoo something about how your body can never be purified when you die and you go to face god dirty and that bothered me. i'm assuming it's a stretch from what the quran really says but that always scared me away from this procedure.
