Re: Permanent Hair extensions
I've had extensions in for yearsss, it's one of those things that once you have them in you can't imagine life without them lol..
To save money you could always get a junior stylist to put them in (under supervision obviously :D)..
I pay just over £300 a time with my hairdresser but that includes taking all the old ones out and the new set can stay in a good 4 months or so (I've kept them in much longer in the past tho without them getting ratty, the main problem if you choose a good brand is that the bonds will obviously go further down as your hair grows and will start to show.. unless you have long layers covering them)..
Anyone considering hair extensions please stay away from Great Lengths. they are an absolute nightmare to take out and will often take out bits of your own hair with them.. I've never had any problems with any brand I've had in (Racoon, Dome etc) except for Great Lengths ..and they didn't look any better than others either..
Re: Permanent Hair extensions
Deeeba thanks for the advice!! I might save money and get the done in summer! very excited..
Where do you live in the uk? which salon do you go to?
Re: Permanent Hair extensions
^I'm just outside London but I go to a girl in central who used to work at a place called Antenna but works for herself now.. There are loads of good places out there tho.. If you go the actual extension company websites there should be long lists of those of who are experienced and properly trained.. A lot of the so-called 'freelancers' do also work at top salons but will charge a lot less if you see them at home :) Please be careful as there are always ppl who claim they're professionals but you'll find instead of the extensions lasting the recommended 3-4 months they'll drop out after just one or two (really you should lose no more than say 3 or 4 bonds during that whole 3-4 months).. or the extensions themselves will be bad quality and start to look ratty and matted..
