Without being too graphic or TMI about it.

1 week back I got bleeding for 2 days and then it stopped. From yesterday I have got periods again. Cramps and bleeding. The whole package. What is going on?

you should see a gynae....usually when a there's lots of stress and emotional problem(say u're really upset about something/worrying bla bla) this happens.....or it may be something wrong with your system....hormonal imbalance or something like that i guess

go see a gynae ASAP

There can't be a hormonal imbalance. I just had a surgery some one and a half weeks ago and before that they did all the tests etc and my hormones are all right. I might just do that.

I have been told by my doctor that it acts out once in a while. So as long as something like that doesn't happen consecutively for a couple months, it is ok.

But you just had a surgery. I guess it is best to talk to someone in this case.

The diet i think. Also, you have been down because of ur surgery. I heard stress could do this. Though i might be wrong.

yes right stress causes this too.even stress causes early periods and even spotting before your days

Following could be the reason :

  1. stress

  2. if you have lost or gained weight

  3. weakness

  4. any medication

however if you are also experiencing pain then consult a dr.

I am stressed. And my period is sort of...umm..just not there. Like almost spots and no pain. Whats that?:(

^ don't worry our body keeps on changing and so does our cycle. after I lost 30 kgs weight I experienced something similar and consulted a gynae and she said don't worry as long as you are getting it , it doesn't matter how much you get it !

but again if you are worried you can visit a gynae . I will suggest to wait for a couple of days.

I am not worried, since there was no PMS, no pain:D I was just curious.

LOL according to your list I have all the reasons.

Stress is obvious. I am under stress a lot these days.
I lost A LOT of weight recently.
Weakness because of the surgery thing, I didn't eat anything. I went from 56 kgs to 52.
I am taking HEAVY MEDICATION due to the surgery thing. I took antibiotics etc before and after surgery.

I guess that is what is the cause of this. Kher.

Wait and see what happens in couple of weeks.

If it happens again with no other reason, get ultrasound to rule out Uterine fibroid or other reasons.

Yes stress, weight change, OCP, some infections can cause these abnormal bleeding.

Your tests were before surgery though. Does not mean hormones are fine now. It also depends on what kind of surgery.

Agree ! One of my friend was kind of experiencing the same her gynae did a scan which showed very small uterine fibroid

Don't panic DB, just visit your doc and explain it to him/her and they will be able to help you out better than anyone on a forum can. Inshallah everything will be fine :)
