performing Hajj for deceased relatives

:salam:

I was wondering if it is allowed to perform Hajj on behalf of someone who has died? If so how close can the relationship be? (i.e. brother). Also, if it is allowed, do we state our niyaat and perform hajj as required? If anyone can shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it.. Jazak Allah Khair..

Re: performing Hajj for deceased relatives

that wud be hajj-e-badal....

but i think the deceaed shud have mentioned it in his will that someone shud perform the hajj on his behalf....
do check that out....
and i think anyone can do hajj on behalf of someone else, not necessary to be related....

Re: performing Hajj for deceased relatives

Hajj-e-Badal in my view is for the people who are alive but due to their age or sickness cannot go by their self and send someone to do Hajj. It also can be done by raletive or any other person.

As for the person who already died the best thing is to havesomething as Sadqa Jariya on his name. Wallah Aallam.

Assalamaualaikum warahmatuallahi wabarakatuhu.

it is not permissable to perform hajj on behalf of someone else untill you have made hajj for yourself.
so if you have performed Hajj for your self then yes perform Hajj for someone else.
MashAllah may Allah reward you and make things easier for you and may your Hajj be excepted.
Allahuma Ameen.
