Is it safe to take supplements for such things?

Yes. Most of them are just multivitamins anyway, with a few added things.

took them for ages few years ago, made no difference, think nails were stronger, but no effect on skin and hair, whc9h is what i wanted....

My nails are strong anyway. I need something for the hair & skin.

I used to take them, they didn't do any harm but they didn't make an obvious difference either that I could see. I think they're good for you if you also have a decent diet, rather than replacing having healthy food etc. But Perfectil is quite expensive and Boots have a decent own brand collection too which is cheaper.

ok from experience, perfectil was way too expensive for me plus i couldn't find it in my local cvs so i just bought "Sundown Naturals" Hair, Skin, & Nails dietary supplement with collagen/gelatin just b/c it was the only one there and there was a buy 1 get free sale....yeah babee!

alright so on to my review, from personal experience it did work for me, i really didn't think it made much of a difference but after using it for a couple weeks, i did get comments about how my skin was glowing, don't know whether it was the product but i'm going to keep using it until i'm done with with both bottles. but i did notice that if i miss a couple days of not taking it that my skin did show a change of not looking as good as after i take it.

Made my pee green :-/ has a high vit b12 content
