It is the Pepperidge farm pie crusts that state animal shortening/lard in the ingredients. There is no such thing in the puff pastry sheets, according to what I know. Please correct me if I am wrong.
To the OP...I once read a guppy made Nutella filled puff pastries.I once made them with blueberries.I just cooked fresh blueberries with a lil sugar till they became thick like jam) and used it as a filling. They were ok,I personally prefer them savory.
My favorite fillings are qeema, boiled shredded chicken with cream cheese, chicken sauteed with onions, and potatoes very lightly seasoned.
and and and and lately I've had so much bad luck wiht them. it was so easy to use em at first but recently, they're so sticky that I can barely take them apart and make proper food out of em :(

^^The puff pastry sheets..??..I think you are thawing them too much.Use them out of the fridge rather than being at room temp for too long,THey get hard to handle and too sticky that way.
Really? I do keep em in the fridge for a couple of hours....that may be the issue... sometimes its so hard to keep track of how you go wrong on something that you previously made well!
