Can't Butt's change the spelling of their surname slightly? I mean I've never heard it being pronounced with a "pesh" (u) in Pak, always heard it with a "zabar" (a) as in "Batt Sahib"... Batt is also an Anglo surname. I know in American/Paki English "u" is pronounced as "a" but I feel sorry for the Butt's.
Or maybe use the dad's first name as the surname as is common amongst many Pakis.

praaji…its a hindu punjabi surname which is worst of its kind. ppl made lot of fun when i was in primary school.

it's just torture having the last name butt. i can't even remember the number of times that i've been teased in elementary school and high school because of it.
elementary school was the worst cause kids are just plain old mean. i don't think there's a worse last name that you can have other than butt growing up as a kid. but as i grew up, it sorta became cool. and started to understand where the name came from, so now it's sorta a thing of family pride :D
mercenary - did you go to school here or back home? how bad was it for you? :D

So it was ok.
Actually the name Butt comes from Bhatt. When the British took over, they send a Scottish Guy to administer Kashmir or something. The scottish bastradized the name and renamed people Bhatt to Butt.

Buttan di naniyan ek hi aundi hai...is that a true saying, I guess it is from all of the friend's Ive heard.
I dont know if u guys can recollect the drama Alpha Bravo Charlie, there was a butt in that too, who laughed cynically like a donkey.
I was on nite duty once & the captain of lufthansa airline was with me. And I happened to see his ID tag read his name as XXXX Butt. I was surprised, & at the same instance another Pakistani pilot, who read the same, told him, there is a family of the same name in our country. He replied, he has been enlightened on that by his Pakistani colleague at work too.
Oh plus, we have a friend, who we call as butt saab, just coz he has the biggest butt in town...:D
