I am disgusted at the type of people who are allowed to breed, back in the olden days this class of people used to fit into the order of things and where a useful sector of society being serfs and peasants…we have no need for them in today’s modern society.
I think that therefore they shouldnt be given the said permits.

From a social workers perspective I agree some people shouldnt have kids, also people that sleep around too much (applies to married women only), hard to tell the difference who the father was/is.

Hmmm, If this sort of law is out there, then every one must be subjected to it, not only some particular groups. Even the top of the elite cannot care their kids, these days.
Nice idea, but who will issue permits? Will this department be run by Sheikh Rashid in Pakistan? He will be a billionaire then, even if Government seals all his properties and bank accounts before awarding him this position. Also it will be too expensive to have permit (at least in most Asian countries). I can imagine "child mafia", where one person or group will get many permits and then they will black them. Even some dealers can earn hundreds of thousands by just manipulating files of permits.
From another perspective, will organizations like Edhi also have to get some sort of permission for raising orphans or other sort of children? If so then they might not be able to support them any more as it will be quite expensive.

the reality is the more education and money you get the less time and desire you have to spend your life at home cooking, cleaning and chaging nappies…so poorer and uneducated people have more children than rich educated people…
that is reality, if you wanna try to change it by law you are as likely to fail as communist with their failed attempt to break social inequalities by so called communism…
reality lazy_daisy should be looked with straight eyes, take it or leave it…ie. you can be a nun hermit somewhere if it’s too hard to stand…

BTW Jokes aside, I read a book "MetaMan" while back and the book was basically along the lines of what Tom Friedman is talking about globalization and flattenting of the world, but written way before the above two terms came into existence. That book mentioned applying for licenses for kids, based on world poplulation, food and few other inter related issues. The theme of the book was the interdependence of the the worlds regions, and how interconnected the world is going to be.
