Re: People opposing Musharraf are secretly rooting for Taliban [split: Lal masjid..]
....And we see once again in this thread who is in favour of terrorists and under the guise of being anti-dictatorship and anti-musharraf, they support the biggest dictators of all time: the taliban.
Yaar chill. Opposing Musharraf is in no way supporting religious extremism. How you came to that strange conclusion I would never know. It's like Bush saying if you are with us you are civilised and vice versa. I just don't approve of military rule in any shape or form. I never liked the Taliban because I just could n't identify myself with their brand of Islam. I even think that no party should ever be allowed to contest an election on the basis of religion. That's like fooling the electorate. Pakistan will always remain an Islamic country no matter who is at the helm of government. Yes religion is very important but we should not mix religion and politics. I have always wanted Pakistan to follow the example of Malaysia i.e be self-sufficient in everything and izzat k saath sar utha k jiyo
And I believe until recently your signature said something like 'save Pakistan from mullahs and army' before you changed it to what it is now! Anyways I genuinely believed when Mush first came to power that he was sincere and wanted to do something good for the country but his subsequent u-turns and back-door deals just to stay in power have disappointed me no end. Yes he has been better than BB and Nawaz in many ways but that does not mean one should accept/support army rule. He should leave the scene now and hand over power to elective civilian representatives be it kambakht BB or Nawaz.
btw I supported Mush's Lal Masjid operation (you can look at my post history if you have time!) but even then he deliberately delayed his action/timed it for his own political gain (rising public anger and his dwindling popularity in the aftermath of CJ suspension)
