And if that is true, why is he tolerating hinduism, buddhism, jainism sikhism, zoroastrianism, maitrism which are booming right under his nose?? isn't he almighty enough to run this world on his terms?

Soul, before slamming islam perhaps one would be better off reading its religious texts which would comprise of the Quran and the Sunnah.
No islam doesnt only limit itself to Judaism and Christianity. Pagans are mentioned in the books and the general term idolators encompasses most all religions aside from the monotheistic ones. Though it can be argued now that even christians are idolators to a certain extent since they do seem to worship statues and images of Jesus and Mary.
The Prophet (PBUH) also mentions the Chinese in one of his famouth hadith. And im sure plenty of other religions are mentioned in Quran and Sunnah.
As for the comment about islam being an Arab nationalist movement (now where did that come from!) i`ll leave you with this Quote from the Prophets (PBUH) last sermon
“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly."
Last but not the least, i hate it when muslims are appologetic about their religion. If you have a problem with islam, thats between you and Allah, though you choose not to believe in him.
do muslims calim superiorityand special status just because muslims?
what extra privilages you should be given just because of muslims?
can you beat law of physics? whythis magical claim of superamn satus?
my my same crew so negative.. :)
some say they are the chosen ones
some say they are the saved ones..

There is no "superiority", "extra privileges", "beat law of physics", "superman" by calling yourself Muslim, claiming yourself Muslim. The only favor, the biggest favor, is decided by God, whether one goes to Hell or Heaven. By really following Islam, you have more chances of going to Heaven.

They may be chosen ones and some may be saved ones but I am the lucky one!!! WHY..
1) Best food
2) Best drink
3) Best gal
everything else is irrelevant of course for everything else there is Master card. :)
Manniac, your quote of muhammad’ sermon is for mulims only and not for all mankind. And may be much earlier prophet had said that quaresh are the best?
So, quran mentions of idolaters and it is directly related to all idolaters, hindus including, though it does not mention hindus directly.
Do you know that among hindus many do not believe in or pray idols? They believe in universe, a unique god and they meditate instead of praying bfore an idol. And they are doing so before quran, for many centuries.
It is difficult for believer muslims to accept that quran mentions only those religions which were a hindrance in the religious and power struggle, in rest prophet was not interested, or lack the information.

If there is anyone in the Indian sub-continent who encourages hatred it’s the Hindus, it’s they who practise things like treating those who don’t believe in their religion or belong to their caste as untouchables.
I’ve heard a lot of stories of them before 1947 of treating Muslims as untouchables not eating food made by a Muslim etc. or even touched by a Muslim and even today in some parts of Pakistan shopkeepers leave a clay pot thing full of water outside their shops and the Hindu shopkeepers don’t like Muslims drinking from theirs so they wrap a red cloth around it to tell Muslims don’t drink from it and we don’t because they think we’re dirty or something.
We on the other hand believe that every person is from the progeny of Adam and Eve and the only thing that distinguishes people is true Submission to God and piety.
We are allowed to eat food prepared by the non-Muslims as long as the ingredients are permissible and the person has good personal hygiene etc.
As Muslims we have to be nice, caring, giving and courteous to the non-Muslims as long as they respect Islam.
[/QUOTE]
Even the Hindu idolators do not treat the Dalits and Catholics
very well. They consider them as NAPAAK or Paleedh.
And in various parts of India The christian Nuns are raped
BY HINDUS. Please, refer to human right reports.
Yes, you are right Hindus do not drink or eat with people from other
faith. And why is that. They somehow have developed a superiority
complex.

We believe that prophets came in every nation. Hence they must have come among Indians, Chinese,

And we beleive that Almighty God runs this world on his own and doesnot rely on agents/prophets and jehadis to improve his lot.
FYI, there have never been any record of human -God conversation ever taking place, anywhere in this world other than Middle East region....and that too, there have never been witnesses or any evidence of these!! Claiming prophethood in Middle east was a Semitic tradition adopted inquest for POWER.
[like pharoahs in egypt used to project themselves as chosen ones to rule the rest, do you agree with that?]
Muhammad was not the only person in Arabia, who had claimed to be the Prophet of God. There was Tulaiha bin Khuwailid, chief of the Bani Asad, who was acknowledged to have power of divination. Museilima was another contender in this field. He worked miracles and claimed to have been sent by Allah. Al-Aswad, known as the Veiled Prophet of Yemen, was yet another claimant in this field. Though brave and a willing fighter, he was arrogant and thus, lacked popular appeal.
The best part was all these prophets called other of their kind imposters and waged war on them.
Now, why would GOD sent so many prophets to Arabs at the same time?

look, there is a temple in south india dedicated to tirupati, it has a large idol of tirupati [god of the world-vishnu], which is worshipped by a million devotees daily....for past 3 thousand years undisturbed....it is the richest temple in the world even today. Now tell me, if god is irked by such false man made gods and idols and their worship, why does he go to arabia to tell the prophet to end idol worship by force? wots stopping him from comming to india and showing his displeasure to these very ppl....and using divine force to end the practice? He is GOD after all, he can do anything to impose his will upon us, if needed!! right?
Even today, all churches round the world have idols of jesus, mary and saints, still its the largest followed religion in the world....and still growing. So this proves, after all God has nothing against idol worship...

About Mughals. about Kutb Minar.
You know why because they are very beautiful places to see

I guess God decided to send 18 year old Muhammad Bin Kasim to India
instead of Prophet Muhammad(SAW).
And you are well aware what the 18 year old did in India.
Have you ever wondered about the population of Muslims in
India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Just check out the stats.
Muhammad has already PAID India a visit.
take care
.
Open question!
Many people here have been slamming Hindus as idolators etc, how many actually know anything about Hinduism?
All your comments are based on generalisations and flights of fantasy...
When people say Christian Nuns are raped by Hindus, well is that supposed to mean that it is a religious thing?
And the untouchablity part, well, if you say that many Hindus follow it and therefore it is a part of Hinduism, well by that same logic, since many people dont follow it now, has it been taken out of teh religion?
Or for example if you say that there are idols in temples, well that doesnt mean that they are worshipping the idols, they are worshipping God, represented by the idol, the same worship can and does happenwithout the idol too. There is no compulsion in going to the temple either.
For a change why dont you guys take a break from slamming Hindus and all other "low-class" kaffirs and try to find out a bit more with an open mind...

The Tirupati temple may not be as photographed or well known as the Taj Mahal, but believe me it is very famous, and btw, the fact that the rich Indian tradition has given the Eurpoeans a scare? Thats a first..
The Muslims, well why are they scared, its not like they dont give as well as they get!

Tajmahal and kutub minar were built by indian artisians with indian tax payers money....so what about them...you certainly dont beleive shahjahan went on the spot to crave stones...did you???
And moughals were mongolian barberrians from gobi desert...what was their contribution to human soceity? invading, plundering killing ppl....and their part time hobby was enlarging their harems and getting stoned.
Ok guys lets stick to the topic. No need to bring in Iraq, Bush or Mughals.
Some valid questions have been asked here and let me point them out. If anyone wants to contribute to answering them please do so whithout putting down another religion or group of people and stick to the topic. Here are the questions:
**1. Why doesnt Quran mention Hinduism and Buddhism, the religions followed and practiced well before the advent of Islam.
Why Allah never sent a Prophet to those regions to spread His message.
Why were Prophets limited to Mid East region.
**
These seem the be the primary questions in this thread. If I have missed any, please point it out and answer if you can, keeping the politics out.

Once again, the term idolators encompasses almost all religions. People can argue that hindu's arnt idolators but i see them worshipping idols, pictures, objects, and even animals. Same with budhists and even many christians nowadays. the Quran doesnt need to refer to any single religion by name.
The Prophet(PBUH) is also mentioned as 'Rehmatullil Alamin', meaning Rehmat for the universe and as far as i know the hindu's and budhists live in the same universe as the rest of us.

Once again, says who ? Every nation has had prophets amongst them. Some say Budha might have been a prophet.
Remember, there have been 124,000 prophets and messengers sent to mankind. Allah is not unfair, he ensures every nation has had their fair chance.
