Salam everyone.I recently read a book called “cheegha” written by “Ghulam Qadir Khan Daur” over miseries and plights of people of FATA particularly People of Waziristan, the book is really touching and I was extremely moved while reading how the innocent people of waziristan are suffering due to militancy and how they get killed by their very own army indiscriminately during operations against the militants.Moreover, media is not allowed to highlight their miseries and sufferings.This book has really raised some questions in My mind as a patriotic pakistani who has always admired army.
1.why did army in the first place assisted Russia and let them fund Madrassas to produce jihadis and militants which we can’t control now?couldn’t there be some other strategy?
2.why are the innocent killed?
3.why is media not allowed to highlight the sufferings of the poor tribesmen?
4.why doesn’t government think abt any developments in tribal areas and not end the cruel FCR?why isn’t FCR replaced with a good and fair local government system?
5.Are tribesmen not part of Pakistan? Are they not equal citizens of Pakistsn?Don’t they have any rights to progress?
I hope I’ll get some thought provoking and satisfactory answers from you all as I really admire this site because it has knowledgeable and enlightened members!!

Since 48 Kashmir war brave Pakhtons of FATA have become an instrument for some quarters and their love for Islam has been exploited , No one wanted any progress there because of very very big income of smuggling . You all know about very big narcotics business , arms business and other all sort of smuggling . And this all business is running very smoothly although there is war like situation since years .
No need to point out the people behind , every one can assess .
