People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

I know we might have discussed similar topics and beaten them to death,

but I am absolutely unable to comprehend why there are so many misconceptions and assumptions from both sides about each other.

‘People in Pakistan are generally snobby, kamchor and princesses and love gossiping.’ One side

'People esp women born and bred abroad are too independent and ‘fast’ (yea how that word makes me cringe shudders ’ The other

:smack:

Then there is this third category of FOBs…why such contempt for the expats by Pakistani people living in Pak and vice versa for those living abroad?

Can’t we just get along ? :hehe:

on a side note, I have loads of friends both from Pak and those born and bred abroad…so this isn’t about me :snooty:

Re: People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

I didn't get it, what does "fast" imply?

Re: People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

^sharp I think.

Re: People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

Oh how I wish I was ‘fast’ :bummer:

Re: People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

I used to wonder the same...fast as in taiz, chalaak..

Re: People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

Pakis are pakis. the ABCD variety, the FOBs, those inside Pakistan, all are basically the same. There is zero difference in their mentality. Hence, not being able to get along.

Re: People living in Pakistan vs Pakistanis abroad

Anyone living on dad's money, no questions asked is a snobby kamchor princess, no matter where he was raised.

Bring in a Hitler dad and everyone turns into a shareef hard working citizen.

My perception of the people living abroad is that they love easy lives, sheltered from a lot of crap that happens around the globe. People over here get to experience that first hand, which usually turns us into crazy cynics. Stay away from Pakistan if you love your sanity.
