As a rough guide child benefit is
£20.50 for the eldest child per week
£13.55 per additional child per week
So around £137 a month for two kiddies
Now I think if you earn over 50k or your partner does then theres a cap. Then theres things like child tax credit, working tax credit etc which allow for allowances
These can be claimed until the child is 16 or in full time education till 18
So imagine someone has like 6 kids doesnt work thats like £300+ free money in just child benefit! Around $500 +
Some people genuinely need the help others r just abusing the system sigh
