I know We have to too, but I have heard so much that we should especially those with children.Have you made yours? If yes, which route did you take, through lawyers or the that self help computer software kind? Please Share??

I have one and went through a lawyer. I asked him a question related to wills and he instead offered to make me one. Since he was someone I had worked with a lot he didn’t even charge me anything for it :hula: It was necessary for me to have one cos the investment in the house we bought was mainly from my dad but the house was in my name so it was only right to have a will with the rightful beneficiaries. Plus even if it wasn’t about investment, just the fact that I had a major asset to my name made it important for me to have a will.

Oh That turned out really well. I want to start looking at options to have it made maybe ask for a lawyer that a friend used.

I believe I cam across a standard will format on the courts website yesterday. I cannot find it right now though. The website I was at was www.courts.state.va.us. You can browse through ur state's website and see if you come across anything.

Thanks femme. Im going to search for it. I know I shouldnt procrastinate this any longer:).
One more thing I'd like to add...I think its really important for people in CA to have a will if they have dependents.Oh Well we should call in the GS lawyers in the making like AE:)

Well If you delay your dying plan for few years, I believe kids will be going to their GFs.

ISNA has a great "pre packaged will" document that you simply fill in the blanks, and get it notorized it may even be available on line now.

Is it sitting in your house or in a safe deposit bank in the bank? I am just curious to know what to do with it after you get the will.

I have not made one yet but I should get one soon, as you never know what can happen. 401K and life insurances etc. already have beneficiaries, so I am not worried about those.
