People in Long Distance relationships with your Fiance/Spouse, what is the level of your communication? How do you manage the timing constraints? Do you get to communicate enough or the frequency is really less?

My Hubby is abroad, we talk toooo much MashAllah, almost thrice in a day!! and sometimes, 4 times, and thrice in a week over skype for sure.... number of Video chats may exceed sometimes :@:

I chat to him everyday
and then skype for a few hours on the weekend.

Mine is super busy. We normally just get to chat once in a while that too because of his piled up schedule.

It drives me crazy too but I try to understand, he truly is very busy.

haha idk if my guy is busy or not.. he chats with me while he's at work.
I barely talk to him at home on weekdays because by the time he's at home and the lights aren't out I'm asleep..

do you know how much I hate karachis power station :DD?

After our marriage, we were apart for almost 6 months.

  • I was in US (back to job)
  • She was in Pakistan (completing her degree)
  • My average phone bill during that period was aroudn 250/300 $ - enough said.

We were in a LD relationship before we were married for some years and then for 15months afterwards as he completed his studies. Nothing changed after, we skyped nearly every day. We would make time for each other regardless of how busy we both were at times.

It sure is but keep in mind I m talking about 2001 when options were limited and call per minute to Pakistan was around 40-63 cents on different carriers

He is so much caring, he knows at the moment he cant make it happen to me to be there so he tries not to let me feel his absence!! So even he’s busy, still he gives me time and I am proud to be my Hubby’s wife :chilly:

My fiance is currently in another country getting completing his education so I still have a 2-3 year LDR to go. :bummer:

We keep in touch daily via texts, skype. I cannot stand chatting and writing any longer but occasionally we’ll use MSN/Gtalk as well. It is hard at first but you get used to things, plus since we talk daily and multiple times through out the day, it makes things a lot easier. Also, relationship problems should NEVER be discussed in texts, not only does it fail at articulating your thoughts/emotions/tone nearly 98% of the time, it just gets on your nerves. Save that stuff for when you’re in a real conversation, trust me.

i used to be in constant touch 24/7 thru phone, messenger services, testing etc...NOT for one day or one month or one year....but, for 5 years!!! :(
