The US has restated its concerns over Russia’s plans to sell Yakhont missiles to Syria.
Although Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdyukov discussed the deal with his American counterpart Robert Gates last week, Gates reportedly told Israel’s Ehud Barak that the sale may “further destabilise” the Middle East, RIA Novosti reported.
Israel is concerned that the Russian weapons may fall into the hands of Lebanese or Palestinian radicals, and reports in the Israel media suggest Jerusalem may look to make tit-for-tat sales to Russia’s neighbours.
Yeah but theres one big problem Isreal cannot compete with Russia and it's hardly in a position to got tit for tat if it cannot overcome a few poorly armed "terrorists" in it's back yard.
Shouldn't the Isreali's be thinking about peace negotiations right now anyway? Besides lets not look to the Syrians to be able to do the right thing... they might use the Missiles on the Muslim Brotherhood knowing thier cruel regime the way i do it's a distinct possibility.
Right now Isreal should be worried about Turkey and Iran and should foccus on peace rather than trying to compete on weapons sales.
Yes nobody can have missles except America and Israel pathetic they spend hundreds of billions on weapons and they start crying if somebody else has weapons!!!
