So. Wanna do something like this for the girl’s bday
Problem… Brain drain
I know how to put the babbler together… Problem is the zebra print.. How do I do that?
I can’t find zebra print paper anywhere.. My idea then is to print some of it out and glue it on some cardstock followed by finding suitable stickers for the letters… I thought one could print out the letters and cut em out but Jesus that would be tedious work!!
Can u get ur hands on zebra print wrapping paper? If yes then cut cut circles and glue it on. And take a smaller circle and glue that to top of the zebra printed circle. You can find foam letters or just draw on the letters on te white.
Khawa get cloth and then glue it on pink paper. You can easily get this print in cloth. If you can find it in cotton even better. What you can do if you get it in silk is that you mix gelatin in water and then dip the cloth in that and let it air dry. And then draw circles or whatever pattern and cut. It will be easier to cut and you will not need any bukram to keep stiff. (silk flowers are made this way)
It all looks nice.My daughter has a dress in the same colors and same patterns. She wore it on her second BD.She would have matched perfectly with your theme…
Hope you find the zebra print.Sorry I am not that artsy crafty so wont know.
while its printing, use a circle cutter to cut out your pink cardstock.
when printed, cut out the zebra in a smaller circle than the pink cardstock.
paste the zebra circle on to a circle of pink cardstock.
then open up Word, and print out each letter in a large size in whichever font and colour you want. print that out - one sheet per letter - on white paper and cut that out in a circle smaller than the zebra one. glue this on to the zebra.
hole punch either side and string black ribbon through.
^ haha, the funny thing is, i print EVERYTHING. crafts and i don't get along :p
so when i do banners, everything gets designed in illustrator and sent off to the printers for printing and cutting. glue guns and i are not pals.
Stealing the idea from SGC.. why dont you do all that in computer and then just print... instead og all that gluing and cutting thing? I mean find a zebra print like what SGC did.. go to paint/PS cut a circle of a bigger size, then cut a circle in pink..hope you get what i mean
I ain't got access to no printerrrrrrrr. I wanted to get this out the way ... But if it comes down to having to print... I may havta wait until I get back to dk :(
Im just so raring to go though!!!! To get started!
gtg: no mchaels... I used to live n that store n Canada!
Thanks but em... I think I'm limiting the zebra theme for the party and then it's out lol :D
^ the banner will be super duper easy to do when you get back! its literally a couple of hours worth of work. so focus on the other stuff for now- like genie's dress! :)
are you gonna make her feather headband, and the headbands and bowties for the party guests?
why do you all girls live so far? I woudl love to attend your kids birthday parties!! so much planning and hardwork goes in these parties!!!
I feel like I am the only one who wont be throwing a fancy 1st birthday party but considering how much I will love to attend these, I may do so for three of us :D
