I was writing a note to a friend in a greeting card and was looking at my penmanship - and it was pretty bad. :hinna:
Where once I had lovely handwriting, I find because for the most part, unless I’m signing something at work, I’ve no need to use pen and paper, my handwriting has deteriorated. My mum tells me that when she was a teacher she used to rap kids on their knuckles with a ruler for poor handwriting - handwriting was considered an important part of the learning experience.
Is penmanship/khush-khatti a dying art? Do you think schools need to spend more time teaching kids basic handwriting skills (as opposed to spelling)
