Penicillin....and periods?

Hi Guys

had a throat infection so have been on Phenoxymethylpenicillin for past week..nearly finished course..

does anyone know if this can delay your periods?

Im very regular mashallah and am now 2 days late…:khums:

Umm i dnt think it shud delay ur periods, cuz its just an antibiotic.. altough ladies who are pregnant, trying to concieve or breast feeding shouldn’t take this medicine.

hmmm…i have done 2 tests so far and both have been neg…

today is my last dose of penicillin so if thats the reason then i shud start by weekend i guess…today is my 36th day…and im usually only max 33 days..once i started on 38th day…so i guess I will wait till next week…

39th day today…but im having pains…so guess that means Im due to start… ?

so yeh it was delayed due to penicillin for anyone who ever takes it…

It is possible, but not proven evident. I have personally also experienced that antibiotics have delayed my period.
